Yoga PLAN Time

  Yoga PLAN Time This summer I've been working on a little project that combines my love of teaching, yoga and supporting educators. The idea for Yoga PLAN Time started with seeing and hearing about educators frequently experiencing stress during their day. There have been a few times as a school leader that I've attempted to organize a time in the day for educators to practice yoga within my building. However, it became quite clear that the timing of the activity, being vulnerable around colleagues or just having your principal lead out a yoga session, made people feel uncomfortable. The benefits of yoga, that I see during my own practice and when I teach at ARIS Yoga  or VASA Fitness , convinced me to think of a way to expand the opportunity for educators to experience yoga in their own way and on their own time. Devoted

  Devoted - being wholly committed, showing strong enthusiasm, involving deep dedication to goals and placing deep emotional and energetic investment into those goals.  Each year, I choose one word that drives my focus on my actions for the year. This year, my word is DEVOTED. Being devoted to my wellness, my family and my school & studio communities is going to take commitment, discipline and focus. Each day's actions will be in alignment to my goals.  Wellness includes mind, body and spirt!!! Each weekend, I've been meal prepping my breakfast and lunch. This week I've added a sweet treat. When I don't have a plan for what I eat, I end up choosing unhealthy and high calorie items that detour my entire day. I was on track through the summer, but then the stress of school and chaotic schedules messed up my diligence to my nutrition.
